About Vgirl Hair

How long has Vgirl Hair been in business?

We’ve been in the hair industry for over 10 years. Founded in 2015, we’ve served tens of thousands of customers worldwide and now focus on bringing premium virgin human hair directly to South African women.

Where is Vgirl Hair based?

Our operations are based in Xuchang, China — the global capital of hair manufacturing. This allows us to source and inspect every batch directly, ensuring quality while keeping prices honest.

Do you have verified customer reviews?

Yes. You can read real customer reviews on our reviews page. Our products are consistently rated 4.5 stars and above across thousands of orders.

Is Vgirl Hair a South African company?

We are an international brand with a dedicated focus on the South African market. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to all nine South African provinces, so you get the same experience as buying locally — without the local markup.

About Our Wigs

What types of wigs does Vgirl Hair sell?

We specialise in 100% virgin human hair wigs including lace front wigs, HD lace wigs, glueless Wear & Go wigs, closure wigs, short bob wigs, pixie cut wigs, and coloured wigs. All our hair is unprocessed and can be styled, dyed, and treated just like your natural hair.

What is a glueless wig?

A glueless wig has an adjustable strap and combs built into the cap, so you can wear it without any glue or tape. Just put it on and go — perfect for beginners and anyone who wants a quick, damage-free install.

What is a Wear & Go wig?

A Wear & Go (or Ready-to-Wear) wig comes pre-plucked, pre-cut, and pre-bleached. It’s designed to be taken out of the box and worn immediately with minimal to no styling. Very popular among South African women who want a natural look without salon time.

What is the difference between 4×4 lace closure and 13×4 lace frontal?

A 4×4 lace closure is a 4-inch by 4-inch lace square at the crown of the wig, giving you a natural parting area. A 13×4 lace frontal runs ear to ear across the front, allowing for deeper parts, half-up styles, and more versatility. The 13×4 offers more styling freedom.

What is an HD lace wig?

HD (High Definition) lace is ultra-thin, transparent lace that virtually disappears on the skin. It creates the most natural-looking hairline — often called the “invisible” lace. It works beautifully on all skin tones, including African skin tones.

Are these wigs suitable for African hair textures?

Absolutely. Our wigs are designed with African women in mind. The caps are adjustable and secure, the lace matches deeper skin tones beautifully, and the hair can be styled in any way you’d treat your natural hair.

Can I dye or bleach my Vgirl Hair wig?

Yes. Because our hair is 100% unprocessed virgin human hair, you can dye, bleach, curl, or straighten it just like your own hair. We recommend having a professional stylist handle colour treatments for the best results.

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Simply browse our shop, select your wig, choose your size and colour options, and add it to your cart. Proceed to checkout where you can pay via PayPal or credit card.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, you can cancel within 24 hours of purchase as long as the order hasn’t been dispatched yet. Email [email protected] with your order number as soon as possible.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes, we offer wholesale pricing for bulk orders. Contact us at [email protected] with your requirements and we’ll put together a quote.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All payments are processed through SSL-encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

Are prices in USD or ZAR?

Prices on our site are displayed in US Dollars (USD). Your bank or payment provider will convert the amount to South African Rand (ZAR) at the current exchange rate at no extra charge from us. As a rough guide, $1 is approximately R18–R19.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. We ship on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, which means all SARS customs duties and import taxes are covered by us. The price you pay at checkout is the total price — no surprise charges at your door.

Do you offer payment plans?

Currently we process payments upfront via PayPal or credit card. We’re working on adding PayFlex and other BNPL options for South African customers — watch this space.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you deliver to South Africa?

Yes, we deliver to all nine provinces: Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, and Northern Cape. Whether you’re in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, or a smaller town, we deliver to your door.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery takes 10–15 working days from dispatch. Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–3 working days of payment confirmation. Orders placed over weekends or on South African public holidays are processed on the next working day.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is $15.00 (approximately R280). Spend $89 or more and shipping is free — no coupon needed, it applies automatically at checkout.

Do I have to pay customs duties or SARS import fees?

No. We ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which means all customs duties and taxes levied by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) are covered by us before your parcel is delivered. You will not receive any unexpected duty bills. The price you pay is the final price.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number and a link to track your parcel in real time. If you haven’t received tracking details within 4 working days of placing your order, email [email protected].

What if my parcel is delayed?

Delivery timeframes are estimates. Delays can sometimes occur due to SARS customs processing, courier backlogs, or public holidays. If your order hasn’t arrived within 20 working days of dispatch, contact us immediately and we’ll investigate with the courier on your behalf.

Exchanges & Returns

What is your return policy?

You have 15 days from receiving your order to request a return or exchange. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging. Email [email protected] with your order number and photos of the issue to start the process.

What can I return?

You can return items that are significantly different from what was described on our website, arrived damaged or with a manufacturing defect, or if we sent you the wrong item. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on items that have been worn, washed, cut, dyed, or chemically processed.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 working days of us receiving the item. Your bank may take a few additional days to reflect the credit.

Do you cover return shipping?

If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product), we cover the shipping. If it’s a change of mind, the customer covers return shipping. Exchanges on approved returns are shipped free of charge.

Wig Care & Maintenance

How do I wash my human hair wig?

Wash your wig every 7–10 wears. Use sulphate-free shampoo and cold water. Gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb before washing, apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, and let it air dry on a wig stand. Avoid rubbing or wringing the hair.

How long will my wig last?

With proper care, a 100% virgin human hair wig can last 12–18 months or longer. The lifespan depends on how often you wear it, how well you maintain it, and the products you use.

How should I store my wig when not in use?

Store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head away from direct sunlight. Keep it in a cool, dry place. For travel, use a silk or satin bag to prevent tangling and friction damage.

Can I sleep in my wig?

We don’t recommend sleeping in your wig. It causes tangling, friction, and shortens the lifespan. If you must, braid or twist the hair loosely and wrap it in a silk scarf.

Can I use heat on my wig?

Yes. Since our wigs are 100% virgin human hair, you can use flat irons, curling wands, and blow dryers. Always use a heat protectant spray first and keep temperatures between 300–350°F (150–180°C) to avoid damage.
